About The Show

Our first production, the acclaimed revue, Side By Side By Sondheim premiered in Sydney and toured Australia in 2011 and 2012.

Stephen Sondheim is the most acclaimed composer on Broadway. He has won eight Tony Awards (more than any other composer), eight Grammys, a Pulitzer Prize and an Oscar. His phenomenal legacy includes lyrics for the musicals West Side Story and Gypsy, as well as music and lyrics for Follies, Company, A Little Night Music, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum and Sweeney Todd.

Side By Side By Sondheim is a celebration of Mr Sondheim’s earlier work in landmark shows that revolutionised musical theatre. This wonderful production celebrates some of his best known works including Send In The Clowns, Broadway Baby, Losing My Mind and Being Alive as well as featuring songs from West Side Story and Gypsy.

On Friday 20 April 2012, we presented a very special concert version of Side By Side By Sondheim at Theatre Royal, Sydney. This unique entertainment event featured some of Australia’s most popular and acclaimed performers, headlined by the West End and Broadway icon Ruthie Henshall, who made her Australian debut in the concert.
